Boat with migrants and refugees arrives on Lesvos

A total of 27 migrants and refugees, nine men, nine women and nine children, mostly Africans, were on a boat that arrived on Wednesday morning south of the town of Mytilene, Lesvos island.
The migrants and refugees are undergoing medical tests by a National Health Organisation team and afterwards they will be sent to Kara Tepe camp and will be placed in a seven-days quarantine.
This was the fifth boat with migrants and refugees that arrived at Lesvos in June. The total number of people that arrived on the island in June is 185.
It it worth mentioned that no arrivals have been recorded on the other islands of the northern Aegean since March 2020.
