Greece on Thursday launched an international tender to sell Hellenic Vehicle Industry SA (ELVO) with the free negotiation process. The deadline to submit binding offers is set at 20 days, ending March 3, 2019.
Alternate Industry Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas and Alternate National Defence Minister Panagiotis Rigas have already contacted candidate investors. ELVO has a workforce of 320. The tender covers the sale of the company's assets, real estate, equipment, registered patents and copyrights.
ΕLVO was placed under special liquidation status in 2014. The first two tenders were annuled.
