Deutsche Bank CEO: There are opportunities in Greece after years of recession

Deutsche Bank CEO John Cryan spoke of the opportunities that are now present in Greece after many years of recession and structural reforms during a speech at a lunch event organized by the Hellenic Bank Association (HBA), co-hosted with Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE).
During the event, attended by more than 120 Greek businessmen and bankers, Cryan presented the challenges facing the European and world economy and highlighted the opportunities available in Greece. He also noted the value of initiatives developed by European authorities for a safe and contemporary operation of the banking system.
Speaking after the event, the head of HBA, Nikolaos Karamouzis, welcomed the interest shown to date by distinguished guests of international standing to visit the country and to exchange views with representatives of the Greek business community. He also said that the Greek economy presents a progressively improving image to the European and the International business community and it is of the utmost importance to ensure that this progress is maintained despite the significant challenges that still remain
In the evening, the HBA will host a dinner in honor of Cryan and his associates which he will discuss important developments in the banking industry with the senior management of Greek banks.
