Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura called on foreigners to carry out investments in Greece and in Greek tourism, while speaking at Capital Link Ιnvest in Greece Forum that started in New York on Monday.

The minister referred to the stability and development of the Greek economy and the friendly environment for investments.

The tourism ministry, she said, is implementing a successful national regional tourism policy that seeks to establish Greece as a world-class tourist destination 365 days a year. Through the achievement of strategic development goals in tourism policy, with a focus on extending the summer tourism season, penetrating new foreign markets for high-income visitors, promoting new Greek destinations and developing thematic tourism, a new framework for high-performing investments in the tourist market has been created and international interest has been already expressed, Kountoura said.
